The wake up call
This is going to be a short article, it meant to be a wake-up call for me and you from whatever we have been doing for the past ten months of our lives and to remind us of the remaining two months we still have of the year.
WAKE UP!!
There is something called the Pareto Principle that comes to mind in this situation. It states that 80% of the results come from only 20% of the causes. In simpler words, it means that the greatest changes that happens in life come only from 20% of the actions you apply to achieve them. Like when you are preparing for an exam and not studying the whole material but only the most important parts you think the instructor will focus on and in less time, which will eventually guarantee you 80% of the grade, of course not a full mark but a densest one. Less studying time but of the right material will give you the most amount of grades possible, smart, not hard.
What I am trying to say is that since the year is almost over, it’s never too late. Check your goals, decide what is most important to you that will make you satisfied by the end of the year, and start doing it right now. Work smart now and be 80% more pleased with yourself two months from now. The easiest, most effective way to do so is to, start and construct a plan right now of how do you think you can achieve this goal or ask chatgpt or any AI tool to make one for you and adjust it to your liking, ask it now!! and stop procrastinating or doing whatever is holding you back.
Then reasonably set millstones throughout the two month periods after checking your calendar for your exams dates and responsibilities.
This is your two month challenge and the only way to keep track of it and constantly have it in your mind is to write it into a PHYSICAL calendar and hang it in a place you will not miss. Here, my friend, is the 20% of work that will likely guarantee you 80% of the results you wish to achieve, it will take you less than 30min to plan, everything is always set and ready you only need to decide when to take your first step. Now every day you will get closer toward your goal, cross it on the calendar to keep track of your progress, even if you missed a day or two. Easy enough, if you really want to.
God forbid the year ends and you still haven’t accomplished your goal. Well, at least you did start and made some progress, maybe the goal was not realistic to start with so you have to measure your goals more wisely for the next year or you need to change your approach to planning, take it as an opportunity to learn, and extent your plan until the destination is reached.
My take on the matter is to make use of the remaining time of the year and let it count for the majority of the success you will be proud of by the end of it.
And THANKS.
